  • Key Stage 2 Ukulele Concert

    Thu 23 Jan 2020

Wow, wow, wow! What a wonderful performance from Ash and Oak Class today. The children demonstrated the new skills they have been learning during our weekly ukulele lessons! They played shortenin' bread, raindrops, starlight, ukulele song, and autumn leaves; they also sang a multitude of songs and tunes. We even got the parents involved in learning how to follow a pattern and sing at the same time - tricky stuff!

Thanks for coming along and supporting the children in expressing their musical talents.

  • ZooLab Visits MBHT

    Mon 20 Jan 2020
Today, we were lucky enough to get to handle some animals that you could find in the Amazon Rainforest. We learned all about their habitats, diets, habits and other interesting facts! Zoolab brought along a corn snake; a hissing cockroach; a ground frog and a giant snail. These animals were incredibly interesting and inspired some great writing for the Juniors!
  • kOrky Paul vists MBHT!

    Tue 14 Jan 2020

    AMAZING!

The children at MBHT were so lucky to enjoy a wonderful day with an incredible, well-known illustrator.... kOrky Paul!  He is mostly known for his drawings for all the Winnie the Witch books.

kOrky spent time with each class, designing them their own personalised picture of Winnie herself.  The children helped to decide on many elements of her character!

Oak class also enjoyed a drawing masterclass, where kOrky gave away some of his top tips for designing characters.  They used charcoal, which was a first for kOrky with children, but he loved it, as did the children!

After school, we enjoyed a coffee afternoon with a book sale and the chance to have kOrky sign our books.

What wonderful memories made - and a real excitement for books!!
