Welcome to

Willow Class !

We are a great class of 16 children, with Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 working and learning together each day. Mrs Bors is our class teacher, supported by Mrs Tannahill and Miss Harby. Take a look at all we get up to - it's busy and full of fun!

Summer 2

Our topic this half term is `Oh I do like to be beside the Seaside`. To hook the children on to the topic we took them for a walk down to the Matlock Bath grounds where we played in the park, looked at the river and enjoyed a delicious ice cream. We all felt we were at the Seaside!! Have a look at the amazing pictures below.

Summer 1

This half term we have been learning all about the Great Fire of London. We have been writing a diary entry with lots of amazing writing using our senses. We have also been building houses and then burnt them in our forest school sessions. Have a look at our amazing pictures.

Spring 1- Wonderful Weather

This half term, Willow Class are looking at Wonderful Weather. We will be observing all the weather over the weeks to see how it changes. We will also be looking at what weather is like in other countries and compare it to our weather so we can see what different weather patterns are unique to where we live. We are looking forward to putting on our weather- watching hats and being amateur meteorologists.

RDSSP- Fundamentals at Anthony Gell

As part of Rural Derbyshire School Sports Partnership (RDSSP), we were lucky enough to take part in the Fundamentals sports event at Anthony Gell. We got to try different sports like tennis, cricket and even learnt some dance. It was so much fun and we all had a great fun learning new ways to get our bodies moving.

Autumn 2

This term we are learning all about `Food Glorious Food`. We have been looking at `The Tiger who came to tea` and this inspired us to plan, make, bake and invite parents for our very own afternoon tea party. It has been fabulous! Have a look at some our pictures.

Willow class have been learning about `We are going on a bear hunt`. To extend our learning we have been planing how to catch the bear and we have also mapped out the cave to help us out with our mission! The bear didn`t stand a chance with the amazing Willow Class.
