Keep up to date with all the latest news happening in school at the moment! Busy busy busy!
Wow what an exciting evening we had at Anthony Gell! 10 children from year 5 and 6 played fantastic football to win our group without conceding a goal. They then made it to the 'Cup Group' where they won the overall title by coming back from 0-1 to win 2-1 against Bonsall in an exciting final match!
I was so proud of our team who showed great sportsmanship, positivity and commitment throughout. They were a credit to the school and thoroughly deserved their medals. It was also great to meet children from our new sports cluster and we are really looking forward to future events.
Thank you to all the parents who helped with transport and gave their support (including my own)!
Mrs Pearson has been enjoying teaching RE in Willow class on Wednesdays mornings! We had a wonderful visit to our church this week as we explore how and why our school belongs to the church
family. Pauline taught us lots of new words to help us talk about the special places in our church building. Here are some of them: pews, aisle, pulpit, lectern, nave, chancel, altar and font! We ended our tour at the font for a very special occasion. Pauline showed us how babies are welcomed to the Christian faith in a Baptism, and our baby, Joseph Thomas, was baptised! What a happy time!
A fun-filled day as always at MBHT! We had lots of activities linked to the famous children's author and his crazy stories!
Willow class enjoyed making potions like George did with his Marvellous Medicine.
Oak class created their own Frobscottle drink from the BFG - no whizz popping yet!
Ash class were joined by a very special guest tortoise! Linking their work with the story of Esio Trot.
What amazing costumes from the children AND staff!
Take a look!
Our Friday afternoons are now our curriculum enrichment times! We have four activities for the children to sign up to each half term. This half term we have on offer...

House Groups Announced!
At MBHT we actively encourage Pupil Voice and seek to find the thoughts of our children on whole school matters! We met with the children as a whole school family, to discuss the idea of our previous Family Groups, where siblings were together for a wide variety of activities and events. We talked about trying a new approach; House Groups! Children voted on whether or not they wanted to stay with their siblings in Family Groups, or to swap and mix things up! The overwhelming majority vote was to try House Groups! So that is what we are doing this year. We will keep you posted!
