  • Global Community Week

    Fri 13 Apr 2018

What an exciting first week of the summer term we have had: lots of French language; Mexican cookery; African mask-making; creative writing; Bollywood dancing; Kabaddi; Tiddalik the Frog from Footprints Theatre Company, and much more besides, as we have reached out to discover more about the world we live in.

The week finished with our 'Local; Global' event, and we want to send a huge heart-felt THANK YOU to all the volunteers from our local community - our families and our church - who gave their time to talk to the children about their global experiences. There was such a buzz in school as the children circulated, finding out about Papua New Guinea, Colombia, Italy, Ghana, Kenya, France, India, America, South Africa and Norway. The Fair Trade stall helped children find out more about how we can become a true global community from the choices we make when we buy items. The children were definitely inspired to become citizens of the world. Please enjoy the pictures below to give you a flavour of this wonderful week!
