  • MBHT visit The Open Centre, Derby

    Thu 08 Dec 2016

We all had an enjoyable and interesting interlude to our Christmas preparations today when we visited the Hindu temple and the Muslim mosque in Normanton, Derby. It was a day of good feeling: Harry commented on how welcoming and friendly everyone we met was, and Naheeda, our guide, commented on just how respectful and brilliant our children are! The Indian snacks went down a treat (as most were sugar-coated!) and we even managed to end the day in a third place of worship - our church, for a practise of our Christmas Play! You can take a look at some photos of the day on this link to our British Values page: http://www.mbhtprimaryschool.org.uk/british-values/

  • Christmas Family Afternoon!

    Thu 01 Dec 2016
How busy was our school today?! It was wonderful to have such a fun and bustling atmosphere for our Christmas Family Afternoon. There were lots of things to make and do, the tree and classrooms to decorate and of course yummy treats to eat and drink! MBHT was a real hive of activity and we enjoyed a wonderful family time together. Merry Christmas everyone!
  • Experience Journey: Christmas

    Thu 01 Dec 2016

We had a really special morning at Holy Trinity Church to start our Christmas season. We journeyed around the church and through the Bible stories, starting with Advent and ending at The Gift. The children made items at each station to take away and remember what they discussed. We finished by singing in the candlelight  - it was beautiful!

Thank you to Pauline and all the members of the church community who helped make this event so memorable. We look forward to the next time!
