We all had an enjoyable and interesting interlude to our Christmas preparations today when we visited the Hindu temple and the Muslim mosque in Normanton, Derby. It was a day of good feeling: Harry commented on how welcoming and friendly everyone we met was, and Naheeda, our guide, commented on just how respectful and brilliant our children are! The Indian snacks went down a treat (as most were sugar-coated!) and we even managed to end the day in a third place of worship - our church, for a practise of our Christmas Play!
