Learning Democracy - First Hand!

Each year, the children elect new members for our Worship Group and School Council from each year group to help with the development of our school. Church Councillors plan, lead and monitor Collective Worship; choose songs and write prayers; help with festivals and events, and are a key contact for children with any questions. They are brilliant role models in our school, showing our values in action.  The School Council are the "voice" of all our children and make suggestions and recommendations to help further develop the school. 

We enabled a democratic vote to take place, where all children had a vote, to select one child from each year group (Years 1 -6) who the children thought would represent our values and vision and would be able to lead us forward.  The votes were counted and verified and the new Worship Group and School Council members for 2022-2023 are...
