Wow Willow Class! What super groovers you are!
The children have been working hard in their PE sessions with Miss Gallagher over the last half term to create their own dance show. They showed us lots of different dances from around the world to link in with their topic on 'Up Up and Away!' Well done to all the grown ups who joined in - street dancing was awesome!
Our Great British Day was 'great'! All the children came dressed in red, white and blue to celebrate the Queen's 90th Birthday and all things British! Mrs Smart and Miss Harrison created a wonderful tea party lunch for us in the style of a street party. We researched the Queen's life, we painted portraits of the Royal family and we looked at customs and traditions of different parts of the UK. During the afternoon, we opened up Matlock Bath Munchies; our cafe serving tea and cake! It was a really lovely day!
Take a look...
Our whole school trip this half term was to visit the Cathedral in Derby. We were SO lucky with the weather! A glorious sunny day was perfect for our walk through Darley Park, having a picnic lunch on the grass and exploring our local Cathedral together; it's a beautiful place.
The Juniors climbed the tower and got to take in the miles of scenery. Ash class were lucky to have seen one of the peregrine falcons flying round!
Willow class had the chance to explore and try on some of the vestments.
We all enjoyed some music with the Choir Master which was great fun!
A really lovely day!
