  • 🥚Easter Craft Afternoon🥚

    Mon 20 Mar 2023

What a way to end the Spring term. The PFTA here at MBHT organised an amazing craft afternoon for the children, parents and friends of the school. The children had a great time painting egg cups, making easter wreaths and creating Easter baskets. We had a surprise visit from Gully from Guillver's Kingdom. He really enjoyed meeting all the children. The biggest attraction of the afternoon was the tombola which was piled high with lots of chocolate treats. The money raised by the PFTA will go towards providing the pupils at MBHT with more school trips, new equipment and lots more exciting activities.

  • 📚 World Book Day 📚

    Thu 09 Mar 2023

Here at MBHT, we always have a great time for World Book Day and this year was no different. This year, we decided to let our creativity run free by challenging the children (and staff) to come as their favourite book character.

We ventured through Middle Earth, cycled round the world, met the Cat in the Hat and even journeyed from deepest, darkest Peru. All the children looked amazing in their costumes and they enjoyed sharing their favourite books. It was wonderful to see so much reading happening across the school.

  • 🎉50 years of MBHT🎉

    Mon 06 Mar 2023

2023 marks the 50th anniversary of the opening of Matlock Bath Holy Trinity C of E Primary School!

On Tuesday 27th February 1973, The Lord Bishop of Derby, Rt Rev C W J Bowles MA opened the brand new building that is our current school. To mark this historic landmark in the school's history, the PFTA organised an outstanding tea party for former students and staff of the school. It was amazing to see some many people gather in our school to celebrate and reminisce about their time here.

As part of the celebrations, the legendary John Gill, who taught music at the school for several years, serenaded us with his outstanding music. Pupil and staff, past and present, thoroughly enjoyed every minute of the celebrations and it was wonderful to see how the previous generations have so many fond memories to share with our current MBHT community.

Here is to the next 50 years of Imagining, Believing and Achieving.
