Holidays in term time
In line with Government and Local Education Authority policy, any holidays taken in school time have to be recorded as an unauthorised absence. Our school is accountable to the DfE for our attendance. Leave of absence can only be granted in "exceptional circumstances".
Parents are requested to take their family holidays during the school holidays. Any other holidays MUST be discussed with Mrs Swain and a request form completed. The most important thing to note is that we need to know where our children are when they are not in school; this is an issue of Safeguarding, and we wouldn't be doing our jobs properly if we didn't follow our policies!
