We launched our new topic in Design and Technology this afternoon: Simple Machines. The children investigated the wheel and axle, a pulley, and an inclined plane. Then, for fun, we used our inclined plane to help move a vehicle quickly. Over the coming weeks, we will link this to our Ancient Civilisations topic and investigate how the Ancient Egyptians used simple machines.
